Our Mission
Tanzanian Rural Education Organization USA exists to expand access to high quality secondary education for underserved and immigrant students in rural Tanzania, with a particular emphasis on girls education.
We pursue this mission by providing governance oversight, financial stewardship, and strategic planning support for TRESO School, ensuring that educational access today is matched with sustainability for the future.
Our Program Model
The primary program of Tanzanian Rural Education Organization USA is the support and oversight of TRESO School, a rural secondary boarding school in Tanzania.
TRESO USA does not operate the school directly. Instead, we serve as the United States based nonprofit partner responsible for:
- Board level governance and oversight
- Fundraising and grant management
- Financial accountability and reporting
- Long term sustainability planning
This model allows local leadership to manage day to day school operations while ensuring accountability to donors and institutions in the United States.
